The Active Learning Trust is opening a new school in East Chesterton, Cambridge. By September 2013, we will have built a brand new state of the art Foundation Stage unit. We need an outstanding teacher to lead the development of our Foundation Stage provision within the new school.   The Trust is looking for someone who:

• Is an enthusiastic and driven Early Years Practitioner
• Can play a key role in the leadership team
• Has high expectations in all areas of children’s learning and behaviour
• Can lead innovation and originality in creating stimulating learning opportunities
• Is able to monitor standards and progress in order to initiate improvement
• Can work effectively with parents to provide the very best support for all of our children
• Is able to encourage the children to develop a lifelong passion for learning.
• Has fresh ideas and, very importantly, a good sense of humour!

The Active Learning Trust is very proud to be opening the Academy in March under the excellent leadership and management of Jason Wing and his senior team and we share with them the absolute commitment to making this one of the best schools in the country.  The new buildings are a fantastic improvement and several new staff will be joining the Academy over the next few months to help us realise that commitment.  We also look forward to the new uniform and a clear set of expectations for all students to help them play their part in the growing success of their school.

In accordance with the Academies Act 2010, as part of the process for establishing the new school in East Chesterton we are formally required to consult with interested parties as to whether or not the Active Learning Trust should enter into Academy arrangements with the Secretary of State regarding the additional school in East Chesterton.

We will be available to discuss the Academy arrangements on Tuesday 9th April at Brown’s Field Youth & Community Centre 31A  Green End Road, Cambridge. CB4 1RU  between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

The Active Learning Trust is seeking an ambitious, energetic and visionary headteacher for its new primary school in East Chesterton, Cambridge.  The Trust is a non-profit making academy sponsor dedicated to developing innovative and effective approaches to teaching and learning in all its schools and this is a rare and exciting opportunity to create a new school from Reception Year upwards.
